FAMILY CAMPOUT &
APRIL PACK MEETING

What: Pack meetings, which include participation by all dens, are the official gathering of the Pack and are conducted with various purposes and locations.  Among other things, they serve to honor scouts with awards, convey Pack information, and conduct ceremonies or other events.

The April 2013 Pack Meeting will be during the annual, weekend-long Family Camp Out at Camp Swatara.  If scouts only wish to come to attend the Pack Meeting, but not stay for the whole weekend campout, that's ok.

Note the camping reservation deadline is February 22 at the Blue-Gold Banquet.  Click here for campsite reservation information

The Pack Meeting will be held on Saturday.

For the whole weekend, scouts are encouraged, but not required, to register and camp either in the cabins, tent sites, or trailer sites at Camp Swatara.  The Pack has campfire cookouts and other group activities.  Den leaders conduct various individual activities, too.

Where: Camp Swatara (click here for directions)
When: Friday through Sunday, April 19-21, 2013

Friday evening: Campfire program

Saturday, April 20 Agenda:
8:00 to 12:00 am: Individual den activities
12:00 to 2:00 pm: Picnic lunch and Pack Meeting - Bring your own lunch

Why: The Family Campout and Cub Scout Crossover Ceremonies foster all 10 Cub Scout purposes: Character Development, Spiritual Growth, Good Citizenship, Sportsmanship and Fitness, Family Understanding, Respectful Relationships, Personal Achievement, Friendly Service, Fun and Adventure, and Preparation for Boy Scouts!
Pack 460 Event Coordinator: Kevin Wenrich
